Some really exciting news for Squamish! Earlier this month, the District of Squamish approved a $25 million dollar gondola project which will carry visitors 2,700 feet above Howe Sound. The goal is to build the Sea to Sky Gondola between Shannon Falls and the very popular hiking destination Stewamus Chief. Once visitors get to the end of their 7 minute ride, visitors will be able to dine, hike as well as visit a suspension bridge. This gives Squamish a fantastic opportunity to highlight its natural surroundings – something that BC does so well!
